In 1992 our managing director teamed up with Mrs Cassie Perioli the owner of Umhlanga Tours, a bus service that ran daily to the Wild Coast Casino and operated the shuttle service to the port on behalf of Starlight Cruises.
In 1997 he purchased the life-long contract from her for the shuttle business on behalf of Starlight Cruises whilst employed as the National Seat in Vehicle Tour manager for Thompsons Travel. Whilst at Thompsons he continued to operate the cruise shuttles.
After 10 years at Thompsons, he resigned and was again awarded a life-time contract from Starlight Cruises to shuttle passengers to and from the airport to cruise ships in the Durban Harbour, a position which he holds until this day.
During these past 30 years, we have conveyed more than 1 million passengers to the ports of Durban and Cape Town without a major incident – of this, we are extremely proud.
Prior to the hard lockdown in South Africa due to the Corona Virus, we were the first tour operators to introduce screening and sanitizing at both the airport and harbour in Durban!
10 years ago, we also became a travel agent selling MSC Cruises online. During this time we have built up a reputation of honesty and integrity within the cruise industry and continually strive to offer the best service possible to our clients, many of whom have remained loyal clients.
