In 2022 we celebrate 30 years of service to the cruise ship industry. During this time we have transported well over 1 million passengers safely and without a major incident, to cruise ships in both Durban and Cape Town.
Airport Transfers are regulated by the department of transport in South Africa with each vehicle requiring an operating permit by the transport court and every vehicle needs to pass an annual roadworthy test, the drivers need to have a public driving permit with no police record, and the operator to ensure a minimum R1 million passenger liability insurance. We ask the question: “How much is a life worth”? To us it is priceless, but what we offer is a whopping R30 million cover which comes at a huge cost, which we include in our shuttle price.
Airport Transfers should be a seamless connection between the airport and the ship and to ensure that you get there safely we, as responsible operators, employ luggage porters at both the airport and harbour. Why do we say that you may ask? Well if a driver has to load and offload luggage he becomes tired and worn out and the chances of him having an accident are thereby greatly increased so hence we have since the very beginning, always employed luggage porters. We have YOUR safety foremost in our minds.
Airport Transfers can be done in a multitude of ways. There is the shuttle bus, which leaves usually once every hour. Then for those who do not wish to wait for the bus, we offer a private transfer service at a cost much higher than the shuttle. We do not permit passengers in wheelchairs to board our shuttle bus and instead we suggest that they make use of our dedicated transport service with a wheelchair lift and a dedicated driver who is knowledgeable and caring for the disabled.
The cost of a MSC Shuttle is now
R150 per person one way and
R300 for a return trip. This is the Agent’s NETT RATE!
The Passenger’s Rack Rate is R170 up to R200.
Airport transfers from the airport our buses usually run on the hour every hour from 09h00 to 13h00 which is the last departure in most cases.

insure your life from R10 million up to R100 million in an accident.
Taxis are required to have R1 million and e-hailing drivers usually have
zero as they operate outside of public transport law.Peace of mind.

DELAYS
We do our best to prevent delays. That said though, we are subject to
instructions from the port authority and MSC Cruises. Flights from
Cape Town are usually delayed. When making one’s flight reservations
please try to arrive in Durban as early as possible before 12h00 and to leave Durban
as late as possible after 13h00. Booking a flight home before mid-day is a NO NO!
GROUP TRAVEL
We prefer it when groups travel together as a group.
To this end, we offer coaches with various seating arrangements
from 13 (combi), 22 (sprinter) and 32, 44, 52 and 60 seats in a bus.

Airport Transfers Prices are based on a per person sharing rate of R150-00 per way. This rate is for agents only.

With the new terminal and checking-in regulations by MSC Cruises and NPA, it is very likely that you will experience delays in boarding the shuttle at the airport. This is beyond our control. It is to be noted however, that should you use other transport options to the port, and arrive there prior to the boarding time on your ticket, you will not be allowed to enter! Be warned!
Our airport transfers offer you the following:
1. A R100 million passenger liability cover in the case of an accident.
2. Drivers with a public driving permit.
3. Vehicles that are roadworthy, and DOT permitted to carry fare-paying passengers.
4. Luggage porters at both the airport and harbour.
5. Meet and Greet services at the airport.
6. Pre-cruise check-in at the airport. Here we make sure that you have everything in place to board the ship and if not you have an opportunity to correct the problem. (This service is currently halted by MSC)
7. Luggage labeling service.

REFUNDS:
Airport Transfers Refunds will only be considered 14 days prior to departure via an email to Cruising SA with your full details, and booking number. Tickets bought on the day of service are NOT refundable.
